What the Dillyo?

South West UK based Untimely Sound head honcho andykisaragi brings you a raucous mashup of bass-infused gypsy-raggamuffin-ghetto-disko spanning time & space: vintage sounds & cutting edge beats, electro woofs & global tweets, mountain bass & folk for freaks...

Andy has been involved in pretty much all electronic music scenes over the years, starting out producing techno and drum & bass on an Amiga 500, playing in an experimental band in Sheffield, running an independent Noise record label, DJing trance at Peak District free parties, studying Sonic Arts in London, creating Celtic dub with local musicians in the Scottish Highlands, remixing and DJing alongside Balkan and Gypsy bands in Bristol, to today being involved in the forefront of the global bass scene. All these influences and more have stayed with him and can be rolled into his sets.

"This isn't about the DJ and his ego deciding how the party goes, each body on the dancefloor makes the party just as much as the DJ and I respond to that just as the dancers respond to what I'm playing," he says. Andy tends not to plan DJ sets too carefully beforehand, preferring to take each tune as it comes, relying on his unparallelled music collection and finely honed instincts to know what's going to destroy the dancefloor next.

Today as part of the legendary Generation Bass blog crew Andy's finger is firmly on the pulse of global dance music, but his style is just as much crate digging as up to the minute exclusives & freshness to ensure his sets go a little deeper than most. Even playing a set of straight up party bangers he's always got something from left field up his sleeve - not to mention a suitcase full of his own exclusive productions, remixes and edits - to set him aside from other identikit DJs.

Keep up to date with Andy at his blog Untimely Sound and at Generation Bass where he is a regular contributor.
