Here's a lil work in progress from me, a remix of my personal favourite Glitzy BagHags tune Steve D Weave... trying to do it in a bit of a UK Funky style, but I'm still not 100% sure what that is, so it is what it is I guess.

If you've been to a festival in the last 5 years then you're sure to have heard the Glitzys at some point - they're the guys who turned a Jewish wedding tune into an ode to David Hasselhoff, complete with Knightrider breakdown. Everything they do is just awesome - lyrically, with modern folk tales & tall stories taking in celebrites, ebay, and more recently someone called Edam Man - and musically, completely acoustic but ridiculously danceable, 100% folk but recognising that folk isn't just about reverence for the past and upholding traditions, it's ALSO about creating new traditions and making the past relevant. Folk culture is about recombination, just like mashup culture, and these guys as I've said before are KINGS (& QUEENS) of the acoustic mashup - their newest (which I'm still dying to hear...) combines a trad Eastern European tune with Badass (y'know, the absolute classic D&B tune - was it Aphrodite?) and a bit of the Badger Badger Badger song...
Anyway heres my tune - dancefloor tested at Hamilton House last weekend, went down well, needs work on the production though - can't wait till I move in a couple of weeks & can actually set up some speakers again! Trying to master stuff just on headphones is a bit of a nightmare...
Also here's the original! Learn the story of Tom's dog... Glitzy BagHags - Steve D Weave... be sure to head to their website where you can buy their album & bathe in pinkness..
