Fresh from the Generation Bass trip to South Africa, UMB has dropped this mix of epic SA deepness. I'm all about the house music at the moment so this mix is hitting the spot for me. Morning is the best time of any party if you ask me, and house is the perfect morning music, generous and spacious... This mix to me sounds like pre-dawn, still retaining some of the deepness and inwardness of night, but without the frenetic rush of midnight, soon the sun will be up and we'll bust out some Smokescreen-esque chunky house...

timing is everything
Agree with you on the timing of tunes - I remember (or shudder to remember to be more accurate) a night out at the Fridge which was pretty intense being followed up with an afterparty at some dive in coldharbour lane that took the music to an even harder level, which only served to magnify the wrongness of being in a club at 9am on a Sunday. We left super quick.
On the other hand, I remember a night out at The Cross (sadly no more!) followed up with an after party of happy swirly funky house at Madame JoJo's in SoHo which was just the ticket.
